March a biter sweet month

E and J was born March 1 and well their Birthday is always bittersweet. We are so blessed to have E and cherish her. We miss J so much. That alone makes March bittersweet for us. E turned 5 this year and you know what goes a long with that. It is always so hard to see your baby grow up and I think every mother knows how hard it is when your baby turns 5. It is that turning point after all. Well E turning 5 and J well not, just made it such an incredibly hard month. I/we made it through. A had a nightmare and the other kiddos had their moments of just being sad. I think we all did, even E. But over all I think she had a nice birthday and I tried to avoid extra stress and enjoy the kids. I am doing better now and am glad. We did have a nice Easter as well. I am getting my camera hooked up to this computer and hope to be able to post more. Writing is not really my thing and I like posting pictures more.

Well I changed the blog up and it was fun since I haven't posted in well forever. I really would like to be more consistent with blogging. I do love the idea of it. I think it would be neat if family/friends actually could check in and see what is going on with us. Plus it makes a neat area to share pictures as well. We will see how well I can do.

School Update

A and E have been working on Ping. I will be posting pictures soon. S,M, and C have been working on a unit on Explorers. We are getting ready for a Houston trip soon. Hopefully I will be posting updates sooner and lots of pictures.

There has been a craze over the workbox system over at the FIAR message boards and I am still thinking that over. It is very appealing in a lot of ways. I think the two major factors holding me back is where do I put all those boxes and committing to filling them nightly. I have seen lots of alternates to the boxes that take up less space but still just not sure.

I would love to see more pictures and alternatives to the boxes !!

Well girl scout cookies is pretty much over. The girls hit their goal of 550 each. YES !! We sold 1100 boxes of cookies !! We were getting worried towards the end about whether we would make it or not.

My birthday was in the beginning of February. This was my present :)

Isn't he just the cutest ?? The kids and I just love him !! We named him Scout. He is still getting the hang of potty training but has mastered sit so far. He is doing really well though. We are very happy to have him as the newest member of our family.

Our current Five In A Row title is The Story of Ping. I hope to post our notebook pages soon. Our next book will be Madeline.

Currently we are gearing up for E's 4th Birthday ,a trip to Houston at the end of the month, and of course baseball season.

We have two playing baseball this year (S & C ) and A may play Soccer ( Upwards ) which is coming up.

Next Weekend.....

is the last weekend for Girl Scout cookies !! I am so ready to be done !! We have two last Table Tops this coming up weekend. We are selling at Block Buster and Kroger. We have 130 more boxes of cookies to sell to our girls goals. They each were trying for 550. They have reservations for a NASA sleepover with the Girl Scouts. They are so excited !! We will also be going down at the same time. The boys and E are really excited as well. We will be going to the NASA, Downtown Aquarium, Houston Zoo, and a couple other places.

I am hoping to do a lot more blogging as soon as these cookies sales are done. :)

Cookies ,cookies, and more cookies !! We have two girls selling cookies this year. We have table tops galore set up. They are mostly at Krogers and Blockbuster. This is A's first year selling and I must say she is quite the seller. She is so not shy about asking people if they would like to buy some cookies. Her big sister took a bit to get past that initial shyness. Over all so far they are doing pretty good. They are trying to sell at least 500 boxes each. M sold a little over that last year so we are basically having to double what we sold last year.

PRO BOWL Here She Comes !!

M11 was one of two girls chosen from her cheer squad to go to Pro Bowl 2008. This is her Third Pro Bowl !! I will be sure to post pictures of her. The game is Saturday. We are looking forward to getting to watch her cheer on her team one more time for this season. She was so excited when we got the e-mail that she would be going. M11 will be starting her own Blog soon and I am sure you will see lots of CHEER over there :).

My 3 girls went to the Dr. today. My oldest son went on Monday. All of them have Pharyngitis. A7 also has Tonsillitis and E3 has a URI. I am sure it is just a matter of days before son C9 ends up going to the Dr. as well. I am just hanging in there hoping not to get any sicker. I don't have time to be sick while everyone in the house basically is.

S12 has his last game of the season Saturday and M11 has Cheerfest this Saturday. Their team made it into the play offs so just a couple more games. S12 is really hoping they make it to the super bowl. They are both hoping to go to Pro Bowl as well. I hope they do as well since this will be S12 only year to play at RYA . He is hoping to make it on a new homeschool football league that is just starting up.

It's kind of funny how much a boy can change in a couple years. He was never much into sports and now he is sport crazy !! S12 loves football , baseball , and basketball. Dh has never been that into sports but is taking a interest because of S12 and C9 is also becoming just as sport crazy.

Well I guess I better get back to getting school ready. We will be rowing Cranberry Thanksgiving here. I can't believe it is that time of year already. Where does the time go ?

From organizing the school room. I will be so pleased when it is finally done. I have been needing to do this for a while. I will be sure to post pictures when it is done. I really struggle with organizing my school supplies. Well actually I struggle when it comes to organizing period lol. I have this picture in my mind and get tubs , drawers , whatever. Then can't seem to figure out what I want to put where. My next big project will be organizing our books. I really wish I could afford to have one of the organization people to come into the house and organize and label everything for me. Aaaaaah that would be great !!

We are working on making some home improvements. We are getting a new roof put on because of hail damage. We are putting in new flooring and adding a second bathroom. One bathroom for a family of seven just isn't working for us.

S12 and M11 have pep rally and homecoming this weekend. They are pretty excited about that. I on the other hand am looking forward to the end of football season. S12 gets pretty upset when I say that lol. I am looking forward to more time for fun school things ( extras ) and having my Saturdays back.

I hope to start getting pictures up soon. I would really like to post about what we are doing in school etc as well. At least I am posting a little more now :)

Crazy Busy

Well with football, cheering , school, and everything else it has been crazy busy around here. We went to the pumpkin patch and had a surprise birthday party for C9 Sunday. It was a great day !! I got pictures but still need to up load them along with 200 others :)

I am trying yet again to start posting regularly. They will probably be small posts but a little something is better than nothing . I just realized I haven't even sent the link out to some of my family so will do that and maybe that will help keep me posting as well.

My online friend Jackie made this collage for me and I can't thank her enough !! I can't even begin to tell her how much it meant to me. The picture collage is of Jacob's big brothers and sisters holding him in each corner. In the middle heart is Jacob and Emily together. Emily was in NICU and I wasn't able to get a picture of them together. Jackie pieced this picture together because she knew how much it would mean to me. Jackie has been a wonderful friend ! God truly blessed me by giving me such A beautiful loving friend. Jackie you have brought me so much joy !! Thank you !!

Feeling Joy Again

On March 20, 2005 our precious baby boy died of SIDS. It has been a struggle to get back the JOY of everyday life. The real true JOY that only comes from Christ is what I longed for. God has blessed me and stood by me faithfully and carried me through the most difficult time in my life and has brought to me the JOY that I so desperately craved.

I named this Blog "My Joy" because my children are an incredible Blessing and bring me JOY everyday and I want to share that with my family & friends here.
